This is the scene from the Twilight movie in which Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) introduces himself to Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and they talk to each other for the first time. It starts in the biology class where the teacher gives them an assignment to compete for the golden onion. Edward introduces himself to Bella as soon as she sits next to him and explains that he was out of town for a few days.
While they’re observing the onion in the microscope, Edward starts small talk about the weather in Forks. Bella tells him she doesn’t like it that it always rains. Edward also asks her why she moved to Forks since it’s the wettest town in continental US. Bella explains the situation with her mom who remarried.
After the class, Bella asks Edward if he’s wearing contacts because the color of his eyes changed from golden brown into black. Edward pulls off the florescence excuse, turns around and takes off.
Outside on the parking lot, Bella is getting her bags ready to put them in the truck and sees Edward on the opposite side of the lot. An out of control van driven by Tyler Crowley (Gregory Tyree Boyce) comes careening through the lot and runs at high speed straight at Bella. When it looks like Bella is gonna get crushed to death by the van, Edward appears out of nowhere right next to her and stops the van with his hand. Realizing that she should be dead and not getting how he was able to get to her so quickly, she stares at Edward who picks himself up and jumps over her truck to leave the scene. The Cullens standing nearby are seen staring unimpressed at the scene.
The scene ends with Bella’s dad, Chief Swan rushing into the hospital room to see Bella. This is one of the finest and possibly the most famous scenes from entire Twilight movie. Within five minutes of video we have first dialogue between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen and it’s finalized by the most striking scene on the parking lot. Excellent.
